So far for me the simplest way how to download videos on Youtube is by using Mozilla Firefox browser with additional FlashGot extension installed. And you don't have to download any software for download video from Youtube.
How to install Flashgot on Mozilla Firefox?
1. Open your Mozilla Firefox browser and press Ctrl+Shift+A
2. Type "flashgot" in the search box at the top right corner of your browser.
3. If you find one of Add-ons as "FlashGot", then click the "Install" button.
4. After installation successful, then click "Restart Now".
5. Now you are ready to use the Firefox browser to download video from Youtube and other similar flash video.
How to download videos from Youtube?
1. Open the Youtube video that you want and then play.
2. After a while you will find a small icon blinks in the lower right corner on your Add-on bar. If you have not activated your Add-on bar, simply click Ctrl+/
3. Right-click on the flashing icon, and then you will see several options for downloading. The rest, try and experiment yourself.
During the download process you can close the current page tab and open a new tab to open another page. It will not stop the download process.
